I’ve been slowly trying to follow your adventures online, but somehow missed this post, “THE” post about why and what lled you to this journey. I cannot commend you enough for taking the risk of leaving work and loved ones behind, (although possibly temporarily) for a lifetime adventure. I am really inspired and your words really hit hard to what I’ve been feeling for awhile now since I made my decision to leave London after 6 yrs to come back and be with family… I think about my daily adventures of living in a big, multi- cultural city each day and think about what I’ve left behind, but I always try and think about what I’ve gained and what I’ve experienced having made the decision to return to the US… It’s very difficult some days, especially as I often feel I’m not at “home” even though this is my home home… London will always feel like my true “home” in my heart. I’m sorry we havent had the chance to have our afternoon “tea” in Santa Barbara before you left, but I wanted to let you know I look forward to chatting and sharing stories about our mutual love of travel when you return. 🙂 have a continued safe and amazing journey!
